Cam Stewart has served Calgarians as a police officer for over 25 years, where he was honoured with Alberta’s Exemplary Service Medal and the Community Policing Award in recognition of his outstanding police service. He now wants to return to service as a Liberal Member of Parliament for the neighborhoods of Abbeydale, Albert Park, Applewood Park, Coral Springs, Dover, Forest Heights, Forest Lawn, Marlborough, Marlborough Park, Mayland Heights, Monterey Park, Penbrooke Meadows, Pineridge, Radisson Heights, Rundle, Southview and Vista Heights.
A tireless community advocate, Cam is currently a consultant for the Alberta Human Rights Commission, working hand-in-hand with organizations and community groups to help reduce barriers, racism and discrimination. Cam chairs the Calgary Chapter of the Institute for Canadian Citizenship – a national, non-profit charity that helps accelerate new citizens’ integration into Canadian life through original programs, collaborations and unique volunteer opportunities.
Cam’s extensive business credentials include a directorship with the Calgary East Rotary Club; a Master’s degree from Royal Roads University in International and Intercultural Communications; and a Business Management Certificate from the University of Calgary. Cam has also been honoured by the B’hai community with the Racial Harmony Award and has been gifted an eagle feather by a distinguished Aboriginal elder.
